Marketplace Deep Dive | Ticketmaster
Start by going to ticketmaster.com and signing in — or creating an account if you don't already have one.
Adding a Payment Method
Click My Account in the top-right corner, expand My Profile, and select Billing Information.

Under Payment Methods, click Save New Payment Method. You'll see two options — skip PayPal and go to Card.

Open your TTC Personal Details page in another tab and copy your Virtual Card number and expiration date.

Paste both into the matching fields. For Name on Card, use your own name. For the billing details — Country, Address Line 1, City, State, Postal Code, and Phone Number — use your own residential address and mobile number. Do not check the box to set this as your primary card — this card should only be used for approved TTC purchases. Once everything's entered, click Save Card.

Finding Upcoming Events & Transferring Tickets
After saving your card, you'll be redirected back to the Billing Information page. From here, let's look at where you'll go when it's time to transfer tickets after you've made a purchase.
Click My Tickets, then Upcoming Events.

Find the TTC event you need to transfer tickets for, and click View Tickets.

Click Transfer.

Select the tickets you need to transfer.

Under Recipient Details, use your own first and last name, and enter the email address tickets@theticketcollective.com. Click Send.

Once that's done, forward the transfer confirmation email to your unique TTC forwarding email right away.
Navigating & Buying Tickets
Now that we've gotten the technical stuff out of the way, let's talk about how to buy tickets.
After opting in to an event opportunity, event details — including a link to the purchasing page — will appear on the dashboard 15 minutes before the sale opens. Click the blue Buy link to access the sale.
Some sales will have waiting rooms. Not every event has one - some will end you straight to the seat map. If a waiting room opens, click Join Waiting Room. The wait can be a few minutes or up to an hour for some popular events.

Many events will have multiple sale options, from various presales like Artist Presale, Venue Presale, Fan Club Pre-sales, Exclusive card-holder presales, and the General Public onsale. We will always include which presale (and pre-sale code) to target in the Event Details and Target criteria. When you're in, you'll know it by the Seat Map.

Locate the price bar above the seat map or at the top of the ticket list and use it to zero in on your target price range — drag it to highlight or gray out seats outside your budget. This is the fastest way to find price breaks: the points where price changes by row, section, or seat number.

What to Avoid
${color}[rgb(var(--black))](The following should never be purchased, under any circumstances)${color}rgb(var(--black))
- Resale or Verified Resale Tickets — On Ticketmaster, these show as a pink dot. These are seats that were purchased off Ticketmaster and are now being resold at a higher price. Avoid at all costs — many of these get carted by accident, so always double check before adding to cart.
- Official Platinum and VIP Packages — Platinum seats are the same blue color as standard seats but will show as "Platinum" in your cart, so they're not always obvious. VIP Package seats are usually yellow-orange with a star in the middle. These are typically the last, most expensive seats left on shows that are nearly sold out.
- Side Stage, Behind the Stage, Obstructed, or Limited View seats.
- Donation or charity-proceeds tickets.
Once you've confirmed the right seats at the right price and ticket type, select them and continue to checkout.

Ticketmaster will ask about Ticket Insurance. Decline it — select "No, do not protect my ticket purchase."

Agree to the Terms of Use and click Place Order to complete the purchase.
