Marketplace Deep Dive | SeatGeek
Start by going to seatgeek.com and signing in — or creating an account if you don't already have one.
Adding a Payment Method
Click your account icon in the top-right corner, then select My Account.

Click Payments & shipping.

Click the Payment tab, then click Add credit card.

Open your TTC Personal Details page in another tab and copy your Virtual Card number, expiration date, and CVV.

Paste them into the matching fields. For the billing address, use your own first and last name and your own residential address. Leave "Shipping address same as billing" checked, then click Save.

Finding Tickets & Transferring
Click your account icon, then select Tickets.

Click Transfer. Then find and select the TTC event you need to transfer.

Select the tickets you need to transfer, then click Continue with [#] tickets.

Under Transfer to, enter tickets@theticketcollective.com, then select "Send email to tickets@theticketcollective.com."

Review the event, recipient, and ticket count, then click Transfer now.

Once the transfer is complete, forward the transfer confirmation email to your unique TTC forwarding email right away.
Navigating & Buying Tickets
After opting in to an event opportunity, event details — including a link to the purchasing page — will appear on the dashboard 15 minutes before the sale opens. Click the blue Buy link to access the sale.
If your Event Details and Target Criteria call out a specific presale, click Unlock next to that presale, enter the code, and click Unlock.

On the seat map, use the filters across the top to narrow your search. SeatGeek colors seats on the map to show its own deal-quality score, not price. Seats with the same price can show up in different colors — for example, a row of $129 seats can appear green while another row of $129 seats appears orange. Don't use the color to judge price. Instead, use the price labels themselves or Click Price to open the slider and drag it to find price breaks — the points where price changes by section, row, or seat number — and always target the closer row within a price break, regardless of what color SeatGeek has it marked.

What to Avoid
- Never select a VIP package, Platinum package, Verified Resale or any resale listing.
- Avoid any listing tagged Obstructed or Limited View.
- This tag sists right next to the seat rating badge.
Once you've confirmed the right seats at the right price with no VIP or Obstructed View tags, click the listing to continue to checkout. Confirm the seat rating, price, quantity, and exact seats in the dropdowns, then click Continue.

Select the Payment Method to use. If your Virtual Card isn't saved yet, click Add new card.

Enter your Virtual Card number, expiration date, and CVV. For the billing address, use your own name and residential address. Click Save.

Review the Order Summary — ticket price, fees, subtotal, and total — one more time to make sure everything matches. Remember to always decline insurance if it is offered, then click Pay now.

And that's a quick intro to the basics of buying on SeatGeek.
