# What Should I Do If a Confirmation Isn't Approved?

There are two different reasons a confirmation might not go through, and they're handled differently:

**A) Documentation issue (paperwork problem, not a purchasing error)** If the underlying purchase was correct but something about what you submitted needs fixing — a missing confirmation, an illegible attachment, a mismatched detail — our team identifies this and reaches out to you directly. In this case:
* It is **not** marked as a Rejected status
* You'll be asked to resubmit the order confirmation, with guidance on how to do so correctly and how to avoid the same issue next time
* Once proper documentation is provided, it's cleared and moves forward normally

**B) Genuine purchasing error** If the confirmation is rejected because the underlying purchase itself was invalid — wrong event, section, or price; entered info incorrectly; used an unapproved account — this is treated as a **purchasing error** under Participant Responsibility Policy Part 1, and shows as a **Rejected** status:
* You'll be notified via dashboard and email/SMS
* You have **24 hours** to choose: **Option 1** (keep the tickets, pay 100% of face value) or **Option 2** (transfer the tickets to TTC and walk away — transferable tickets only)
* No response in 24 hours = Option 1 is applied automatically and you're invoiced
* If you believe the rejection wasn't your error, you can appeal to [**help@theticketcollective.com**](mailto:help@theticketcollective.com) within that 24-hour window — this pauses the clock while it's reviewed, and you'll get a response within 48 hours
