# Ticketmaster - How to Buy Tickets

After opting in to an event opportunity, the event details and the link to the purchasing page will appear on your dashboard **15 minutes** before the sale opens. 

1. **Click the Blue Buy link to access the sale.** 
2. **Join the Waiting Room.** 
    * Click Join Waiting Room. The wait can be a few minutes or up to an hour for some popular events

    * Once you have entered the front of the line, the **Ticketmaster page will automatically reload and take you to the event map**.
|| Some events do not have waiting rooms, the Buy Link will lead you directly to the Seat Map. 

3. **Enter the event map.**

| Many events will have multiple sale options (Artist Presale, Venue Presale, Fan Flub Pre-sales, etc.). Keep in mind that we will always include which presale (and pre-sale code) to target in the Event Details and Target Criteria.

4. **Locate the price bar above the seat map or at the top of the ticket list and use it to zero in on your target price range.** 
    * Drag it to highlight the minimum and maximum amount that is within your budget. 
    * Select your seats

| When multiple rows share the same price, take the closer row first. For example, if Row J and Row S are both priced around your target, Row J, the closer row, is the one to pick.

* **Resale or Verified Resale Tickets** — On Ticketmaster, these show as a **pink dot**. These are seats that were purchased off Ticketmaster and are now being resold at a higher price. **Avoid at all costs** — many of these get carted by accident, so always double check before adding to cart.
* **Official Platinum and VIP Packages** — Platinum seats are the same blue color as standard seats but will show as "Platinum" in your cart, so they're not always obvious. VIP Package seats are usually yellow-orange with a star in the middle. These are typically the last, most expensive seats left on shows that are nearly sold out.
* **Side Stage, Behind the Stage, Obstructed, or Limited View seats.**
* **Donation or charity-proceeds tickets.**

5. **Continue to checkout**
    * A timer will appear in the top corner once you checkout. If your Virtual Card is already saved, you will just need the CVV.

    * Make sure that the **delivery is set to Mobile Delivery**

    * **Do NOT purchase Insurance**

6. **Agree to the Terms of Use and click Place Order to complete the purchase.**
